• Live by your own scorecard and your own standards. It is your life, you are the main player.
  • Every crisis is an opportunity either to sharpen your reputation or to damage it. Your choice.
  • Struggle is not a pre-requisite to achieve something. Not everyone hates their job and not everyone hates training. You can enjoy the way up.
  • There are a few decisions in life that, if you do them well, everything else gets easier:
    • Who you marry
    • Where you live
    • What do you work for and who do you work with.
  • Golf teaches you to re-set fast and forget your last shot even faster. No matter if your last shot was the best of your life or if it was awful, it will not win tomorrow’s games. Make mistakes that won’t kill you and re-set fast.
    • “The inability to forget is far more devastating than the inability to remember.” Mark Twain.
  • Engineer your environments and ruthlessly curate them. Make your standards non-negotiable.
  • Eliminate all noise from your life. Most of your life is noise, so be careful. What is noise? Hint: Status games, performative busywork, popular consensus, media in all its form, etc.
  • Outputmaxxxing is the key to real life: if its only in your mind its nowhere. Better done than perfect. Done is perfect.
  • Live with full emotional detachment: nothing is ever really yours. You’ll be taken away even your life.
  • Failures only exist in your mind. You can reframe everything that happens to you.
  • Politics are for suckers, and most of them are suckers. Get feedback from reality.
  • Do hard things. They are hard because they are worth it. And never take shortcuts.
  • Few but very profound relationships.
  • Memento Mori. It’s all a game. Remember "Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun”
  • Don’t dwell on bad days. Not even on bad minutes. Sharks keep swimming.
